    I must say how impressed I am with this site, the knowledge expressed, and the diversity of boats. I'm very new to boating with sooooo much to learn. Will send a pic later. My boat is a Sea-Ox 200c. Love that boat.

    Thanks for the welcome Cap'n Ray. I will have some questions for sure about my 1989 200 HP VRO Johnson. In fact here's one I've been kicking around. Numerous people have suggested by-passing the auto oil mixing. Although there is an alarm to warn you if the auto system malfunctions, some say it's too late at that moment and you're left stranded at that time also. Have been told the only downside of bypassing is the manual addition of oil to the fuel tank.

    I'm not a big 2-stroke guy, had the sea-doo but that was a totally different character... Hopefully someone else on the board will be able to help!
