Default Dash panels and switch panels

So heres two ideas for every one based on one web page.
Front Panel Express:?Front Panel Design Software and CAD Conversion Service

    1. Make your own custom dash panels, dont stack 3 rule bilge pump switches together, make your own custom. Come up with some cool switch panels that are common enough for us all to go in on quantity.
    2. Go over to http://www.vistaprint.com and make up business cards and go to local marinas selling them custom quick order Panels with their name on them for repowers. Have you seen some of the jig saw butchered crap that comes out of local marinas after you just dropped $20k on a pair of 4 stroke Outboards?

Would anyone be interested in going in on a set of bilge pump panels? I'm thinking something like 4 pumps, maybe some high water alarms. Have a boat hull outline with the general vicinity of the pump or alarm showing LEDs as they go off. I'd like to build in counters for the pumps, need to design that circuit. They sell for $50 but probably can be built cheaper since I need at least 3.

If you do the business idea, you need to mail me a 6 pack of your local beer after your first $500 profit...

I have bought a number of panels from MMES custom panels. MMES Custom Panels - Custom Boat Electrical Panels

Mark at MMES is great and does all kinds of customer work. I have six panels he has made for me. My helm switch panels have backlit labels. The labels are replaceable allowing for upgrades and changes. The LEDs backlighting the panel labels are on a dimmer. The labels lettering is blue and I can turn the light way down. I think they are awesome.

This is one of mine while being built.

That is a good looking panel. Do you just send them a template?

It was winter and I sent him the original panels. But he can work from drawings. He will have you measure and plot a curved panel on to grid paper and work from that. A tracing works also.

BTW - If you tell Mark at MMES I referred you he might charge double. LOL
