Fiber glass strength
Do you guys think I can mount my new inear actuator that lifts the engine hatch on the fiberglass shelf shown in picture? The bracket on right would be where I would drill the new one in, it's just resting. Bracket on left is orginal bracket and I cant use it with my new linear actuator .

How much flex does that shelf have? You could "fiberglass in" a block underneath if needed to distribute the stress and stiffen it some.
