    Default Fiber glass strength

Do you guys think I can mount my new inear actuator that lifts the engine hatch on the fiberglass shelf shown in picture? The bracket on right would be where I would drill the new one in, it's just resting. Bracket on left is orginal bracket and I cant use it with my new linear actuator .

Any way to check behind the original to see if there’s any additional bracing? If not- you should be good, but if there is bracing on the other, you’ll need to beef up that new spot as well.

How much flex does that shelf have? You could "fiberglass in" a block underneath if needed to distribute the stress and stiffen it some.
